  1. What are the features of Vidya Kaushal Portal?

    Vidya Kaushal Portal provides a single window for Students to access information and make application for Skill Loans provided by NBFC's. It has the following features:

    1. Information on courses - Based on location, sector etc.
    2. Common application form for immediate provisional registration
    3. Create applications for multiple Training centres
    4. Loan on demand facility available
    5. Track application status by all stakeholders
  2. How can I apply for Skill Loan through Vidya Kaushal?
    • On the website: www.vidyakaushal.com, click on the "Register" button
    • On the register page, fill in the basic required fields
    • Click on the "Submit" button to create your account
    • Please note, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification
    • Once OTP is verified your account will be activated
    • Post activation of your account, click on the "login" button to access the portal
    • Post Login, the student will have to complete his student profile to proceed further
    • Once all details are provided in the student profile, the applicant can create an application as per his/her need (i.e. course, location etc.) of the student
  3. What if I forget password of my Login ID?

    You can click on Forgot password option provided on the Login page of Vidya Kaushal portal. There you will be asked to provide your registered e-mail address & Date of Birth. Vidya Kaushal portal will send a system generated password to registered email id of the applicant.

  4. What are the list of documents I need to carry to the training centre?

    While visiting the training centre, kindly ensure to carry the below set of required documents for further verification/processing of your application:-

    1. Passport size photograph
    2. PAN card (if available)
    3. Proof of Address
      1. List of acceptable documents:
        1. Water Bill
        2. Telephone (landline or post-paid mobile bill)
        3. Electricity bill
        4. Driving license
        5. Income Tax Assessment Order
        6. Election Commission Photo ID card
        7. Proof of Gas Connection
        8. Certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head
        9. Aadhaar Card
        10. Passport
        11. Rent Agreement
        12. Photo Passbook of running Bank Account (Scheduled Public Sector Banks, Scheduled Private Sector Indian Banks and Regional Rural Banks only)
    4. Proof of Identity
      1. List of acceptable documents:
        1. AADHAAR Card
        2. Driving license
        3. Election Commission Photo ID card
        4. Passport
        5. Central Government Health Scheme Card or Ex-servicemen Contributory Heath Scheme photo card
        6. Photo identity card issued by the Central Government or a State Government or a Public Sector Undertaking
        7. Ration card having photograph of the applicant
    5. If you will be availing a loan for doing the aforesaid course then kindly carry the below documents (if any):-
      1. List of documents required (non-mandatory):-
        1. Photo of Co-borrower
        2. PAN details of co-borrower
        3. Income proof of co-borrower
        4. Bank passbook/statement copy of co-borrower
  5. How should I check the status of my application online?

    You have to login on the Vidya Kaushal portal by entering your registered email id and password. Post successful login, you will be redirected to your dashboard. The dashboard will display all the applications that you had applied for along with their respective status.

  6. What is meant by "Pending for counselling" status?

    Your application has been submitted on the VIdya Kaushal portal but you need to visit the selected Training centre with the required documents for further counselling and processing of your application.

  7. What is meant by "Counselling Incomplete" status?

    During Counselling the TC has only saved your application but has not completed the counselling by submitting your application.

  8. What is meant by "Pending for NBFC" status?

    The status "Pending for NBFC" indicates that your counselling has been completed and the form has been successfully submitted by the Training centre. This form is forwarded to the NBFC for further processing.

  9. What is meant by "Finance Approved" status?

    The status "Finance approved" indicates that your Training centre has received the approved loan amount from the NBFC.
